The Light on my stock 1999 Cobra SVT radio goes out when applying brakes, when I turn the headlight rheostat half way down the lights work , if the headlights are on everything works fine, I have all LED lights front and read and have installed resisters on all turn signal LED's Any clue ?

PRE LED days. I had to do something similar to the HVAC lights in my 93 Tbird... tiny little bulbs.

However you can replace it with a modern LED by taking the stereo out and taking it apart. I've found that Ford's from that timeframe seem to be easy to fix and put back together...
