Hello everyone. New member here so go easy on me. I'm new to the game on these Cobra engines, but I have the opportunity to purchase a 2003 Cobra engine complete from oil pan to blower. It was running, but is in need of a rebuild. Assuming the engine doesn't need any major components replaced, what could I expect to pay to have one of these freshened up(cleaned, new bearings, rings, gaskets, assembled). I'm trying to get a feel for how much I'll have to invest, before I buy the engine. Also one of the heads has a blue paint stripe around it. Does that mean it is one that was replaced under warranty?

I would not pay more than $1500... Your really don't know how bad it was abused by previous owner... and rebuilding the heads and s-charger can be really expensive...
