I have a 97 cobra, I think it has the T-45 trans. The problem is that sometimes but not always, when i take off from 1st gear like when i'm at a stop light, i can hear a fairly loud crack or crank from underneath the car, I think it comes from the crank shaf or the differential or probably the trans. it also happens sometimes when going from 1st to 2nd. Does anyone know what it is?

Transmission mount?

 

I talked to one of the mechanics at the dealer i got the car from, he said it was the differential, he talked about some "s" shaped springs.
