96 cobra rearend

Is a 96 cobra rearend 8.8 and would it fit on a 98 stang? v6

I think it would. They are the same spline axles I believe... You might ask in the V6 section to see if anyone has swapped in an 8.8. THe 96-98 cobra rear is the same as the 96-98 GT rear.
