A friend of mine has an 06 rx8 (auto). Tomorrow we'll be putting an Intake and AP U/D pullies on it. Now I know the auto rx8s aren't very fast to begin with, but what do you think the car could be capable of running? I've got another friend with an 07 4.0l mustang with intake/tune, and duals. Wonder if that would make for a good race?

Oh ****, I forgot about the other question...I think the sixxer stang should take it. Those auto RX8's are rated at almost 40 hp less than the manual RX8's, with even less torque. I'm not sure if the 4 speed auto trans just can't handle the high rpms (hence why the peak power is rated a couple thousand rpm less) or if the rotary just....sucks.

Not sure what they'll run, but i think you'd be able to smoke both of them...especially 4.0stang.

Yeah I've already raced the 4.0 from a dig it was pretty bad and since he's auto the roll was even worse. The 4.0s aren't too bad down low but anything past 60 they don't have a whole lot left in em. I should know, I had one lol

The RX8 sucks for straight line performance. Probably a 15 second car. The 4.0 stang should win that one.

I still don't understand why people try and drag race cars that were designed to road race and not drag race.

people want things they don't have, people with fast cars want them to handle well, people with cars that handle well want them to be fast

ive raced a rx8 auto, from a dig at that too. the 4.0 no doubt. the only mod i knew the rx8 had was decent muffler or a catback system.
