So im currently on the look out for a 96-98 cobra. My cousins Boyfriend just got a brand new 370Z auto. ow do you guys think this race would go? I doubt we'll ever race but what would happen from a dig and roll? The cobra will get 4.30's, intake, tune, pullies, and fox 4 cyl springs within the week of my possesion lol.

I saw a video on youtube of a 96-98 Cobra with 4.30's, bolt ons, and slicks, and that thing was retarted quick for what it was. Based on that, i think the Cobra would win fairly easy.

Good luck with the seach for a Cobra. An aftermarket midpipe would be beneficial, as those stock H-pipes are as restrictive as they come.

That, along with your other mods, and a Magnapack catback will have that rev-crazy 4V screaming. Now find some traction, and out run the expensive *** Z.

Those 370Zs run low 13s at around 107-108 mph. My cousin's 96 Cobra runs 13.6 at 105 with stock 3.27 gearing, OR/H, Magnapacks, intake, and DRs. He is so out of tune its not even funny though. Just a tune and a tune up alone would have him running 3 tenths faster, 4.10 gears would put him at a high 12, but I doubt the trap would be higher than 107 mph though.

So yea, if you do 4.30s and all that other stuff, you shouldn't have any trouble with a 370. In fact, if you hook you'd rape him from a dig, he'll probably stay close/even from a roll though.

Yea, Sold it friday. I got 8k out of it so i was happy. i stil had a few tears as the guy drove away though lol. Im just ready for the 4v

Nice! Sounds like you came out of the deal pretty good..... so is 8k the amount your looking to spend? I'll keep an eye out for some Cobras for ya.

yea about 8. really around 7 or lower so i can have some mod money lol. theres one in raliegh thats fairly nice but the guy never has emailed me back. Do you know if a Mach 1 Intake, throttle body, and UDP's will work on an SN cobra?

The have different intake manifolds, I'm not sure if they're interchangeable. Don't know about the UD pulleys either. Might want to ask over in the Mach 1 section and see if any of those boys know. I'm pretty sure all of that stuff is interchangeable if done in order, but I'm far from 100% certain.
