That's totally fine dude.

A 2V GT is no slouch, especially a bolt-on GT with a good driver.

M3's are quick, but again, an E46 is an average low 13 second car, and an E92 is a high 12 average car. I think they are great cars, but, people that buy them to race in straight lines are morons. Those are not drag racing cars, they are road race cars.

Sure, they are fast, but, no worth 60k just to go in a straight line, and get beat by a 20k car, that was purpose built for straight line.

I think the fastest E92 to date, ran an 11.8 @ 116-118. He has every bolt-on imaginable, a few hundred pounds of weight reduction, slicks/skinnies, and ran in near perfect weather. I don't think that is impressive, considering the few thousand in mods, and that much weight reduction. To each their own.

Yeah I pretty much agree with exactly what you said. Very nice looking car but they are expensive. I would assume even a used E46 generation with decent mileage would still be pretty pricey.

yeah they are still pretty pricey. i know that an e39 m5 with 49k miles was around 26k, with new warranty and sales tax and such it came out to around 32k. i think the e46 m3 will run in that same range, however ones with around 80k miles have been known to sell for around 16-17k. fastest trap i've heard of for stock is around 107-108 mph. a fully bolted on 2v i think could give an e46 a run for its money from a roll or dig. that would be a fun race to see.

Yeah I agree with the dig but I don't know about a roll. I'm almost full bolt on and i feel like my car sucks on a roll.

you would be surprised, i think you're underestimating your car. it might be closer than you would think from a roll. what kind of gears do you have?

I have 4.10. And I was thinking, I don't know what you consider full bolt on. I have all the basic bolt ons except headers.

this, I think simple bolt on's in abundance would let you run right next to one and possibly beat it

4.10's will factor out the top end issue in the 2V from my experience... once you have 4.10's/4.30's strapped into your 2V it's top end problem gets fixed pretty good

yeah i think you could still put a pretty good fight up, but yeah the top end issue would go in the m3's favor. limited to 155, but if you ever come across one thats been delimited, they're good for 175-180. i know for sure outta the hole you're gonna get a pretty good jump, those 4.10's are by far the best gears for stop light to stop light. do you have cams? if so what kind? i've been browsing some, hopefully in a few years i'll get some, and i really like the mother thmpr cams.
