so while an LS1 Fbody/LS2 GTO "might" have the ability to trap what the 5.0L does every so often... ON AVERAGE the 5.0L will hand it it's lunch

You two's is right.

whats the average (not best) ET and mph for both the 2011 GT and the GTO LS2? i thought i remember hearing that the new 5.0 can get high 12's bone stock where the LS2 was more of a low 13. Just what i remember hearing anyways

Dude....srsly. SRSLY!!! Do you know how many times I've read/heard "teh LS11!1 cAn NevAr LOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!!" from hardcore Mustang guys. Now it's my turn. It's kinda like reverse racism. So much win.

You should know by now I just like to make a funnah and stir the pot. We were once lovers....I miss those days.

So sit down, stfu, and PM those nudes of the gf already.

put it this way... me second pass ever bone stock in my automatic LS2 GTO (my best stock run before the tune and DR's) was 13.3 @ 104MPH.... after a tune and DR's I went 12.7 @ 106MPH AS A BEST, I still dipped high 12's-low 13's

the new 5.0L SHOULD pull high 12's AS A NORM.... not just a one run wonder like the LS1 F-body or the LS2 GTO.... mid 12's stock I would think should be the one run wonder status on the new 5.0L

Thanks, prob the manuals were a bit quicker. Has someone on here who has a 2011 GT ran it on the track yet for some non-magazine numbers? I know a few car magazines have tested them but we never truly know til one of the forum members takes it out.

Looks really close to me.

That vid proves nothing more than one car has a better driver mod. The 5.0 owner in this vid literally just bought the car and had little to zero experience with it. Trap speeds and ETs have been put out there for us all to see. I'm not bias, I am seriously a huge fan of the LS1 F-body, but its the 5.0's race to lose.

Looking at other videos and looking at vehicle specs I really doubt the Camaro is stock unless the driver really sucked like you said.

I was wondering the same. Not too many stock LS1s running around these days. Could even be a combination of driver and mods. Hard to say without being there.

When that vid first came out there was a lot of stuff floating around the net. I think the owner was on a forum though, and told all the details. I guess he owned both cars, and let his buddy drive the Camaro. And I think the Camaro had a lid and catback, put down 330rwhp, and he was able to run like a 12.8 in it. So, the guy driving the Mustang had some pretty good driving skills, but it was still a new car for him to get used to.
