When I used to go to the track and had to chit real bad, I'd chit in a box and put it in the car so I'd know what I would have ran an hour prior.

My mustang has full interior including trunk. It is full weight, it is my DD.

My S10 has a factory column, one seat, gutted dash, cage and nothing else. This is my track car.

I dont see how weight reduction is confusing...

That's good thinking. But on to the original point. I strip everything I can out of the car. Someone mentioned that they want to know what they would run on the street. I'm front drive and already know it's A sh!tty dig car on the street with some pretty sweet trap speeds that come in handy in roll races. So when I'm at the track I like to level the playing field with the rear & all wheel drive cars by throwing sticky tires on and reducing weight even more given my weight advantage already. Removing the jack and spare is weight reduction if those item's are figured inthe weight of the car from the manufacture. Never reasearched that?

Compared to similar cars(Especially those that said this GT is not worth a damn, etc.) the mods are minimal.

At least someone agrees that removing a FACTORY Item is considered a mod of some sorts, and is weight reduction.

The G/F Is happy. She proved a LOT of people wrong, that thought her car was AT BEST, on Street tires, a high 12 second car. Some of those guys were my friends. All in good fun though. It's a daily driver, with over 40K miles on the car, and 10K miles on the Blower(New blower, old one is gone due to the accident.)
Just giving you a hard time grabber

IMO removing items that are meant to be removed, like a jack and spare tire, is not really weight reduction; it's just cleaning out your car. Removing items that were not meant to be removed (bumper supports, carpeting, AC, etc) is weight reduction.
