Roush Supercharged GT vs. Stage 3 SRT-4
Hey,
My friend is getting his SRT-4 tuned soon for the Stage 3 Turbo with a 47lb wheel. Until he gets an aftermarket clutch he will be running only 18psi and said his car will be running about 325fwhp. He claims with this, his car will be able to trap as high as 112mph. I'm Roush M90 supercharged @5psi 383/359 on Mustang Dyno and 4.10 gears.
It will be a roll 35 - 40 because both of us have traction issues in 1st (running street tires). So. Outcome? What do you guys think - I feel I'll at least have a car on him.
After he gets the clutch he will run 25psi at which point I'll be done (up to 400fwhp)! lol But for now I think I can still maintain supremecy. BTW, I've always won with my geared N/A setup 311rwhp vs. his stock turbo setup (driver mod).
Thanks

ps
I honestly think he'll put at least a car on you, if not more.
Those Skittle's are geared for top end and they are lighter than our cars.
I had a stage 2 putting out only 265whp and it felt like it had endless top end.

The 325 is by choice.....not because that's all he can make on 18lbs.....he's going easy and conservative, once he gets a clutch hell put it down.
I realize they are light and great roll cars but I have about 100 more rwhp. That's gotta Account for something no? Lol. No ones even calling an even? Haha.

Next his car is a hair under 3000lbs and mine is just under 3600lbs.....so maybe 600lbs difference which I realize is a lot but a far cry from 800 - 900. Lastly, Keep in mind we will not go crazy will the speed and I will be letting off at 6k in 4th so I probably have a gearing advantage.....not that more aggressive gearing helps much with positive displacement.

They weigh less than 2900lbs stock, a lot of his mods likely dropped it to low 28xxlbs. Fwiw about the power to weight thing I know of a local sc 3v with what I was told 470whp, traps 93mph in the 1/8 (talking about a roll). I trapped 96mph on 15psi in 1st, 22psi in 2nd and 29psi in 3rd. I only pulled 379/398 on a mustang dyno, and that was on a full 29psi. It can vary, just first thing that poped in my head about weight..
