Default Blues replacement.

Finally picked up another toy. I had my mind made up on a LS1 or Fox 5.0. The plan is to put what ever I bought into the 10s and these are probably the easiest platforms to do that with. I've test drove a million cars and settled on a 95 Mustang GT. The car is a looker! New paint, Cervini stalker body kit, cervini hood and wing. 18 inch wheels. Now the down side. The car is bone stock with the exception of a dynomax exhaust so there will be alot of money and busted knuckles getting this car to where I want it. Should be alot of fun getting it to where I want it. Future plans are H/C/I, spray and then building the drive train & suspension to handle the power I want to throw at this car. Pics coming soon.

Nice! My buddy has a 95 Cobra with a Trick Flow top end kit, 125 shot, and that thing screams. Do all that and it might be really close to your SRT-4

Congrats, BB. You chose a good platform to start with, and one that is relatively cheap to work up too. The options are infinite for that car, good luck man.

That's the beauty of the 5.0. So many mod options. It'll get heads cam intake and exhaust by next spring. I'll probably put 4.10 gears in it in the next week or so. Gotta do a little reasearch to see if these 8.8 rears can hold up to the beating. If the 8.8 isn't reliable I'll probably finish of the exhaust with headers and an H-pipe. Here are a few pics

Looks good. Though like you said it's going to be some money. (though that's the case with pretty much everything)

The 8.8 will take whatever you throw at it for the most part as long as you control any wheel hop (which you shouldn't have anyway), use slicks, proper brackets/poly, etc. Its the damn axles that are your enemy. Change those and you'll be just fine with what you're talking about doing. I've only witnessed one 8.8 let loose, on a 5500 rpm dump.... and IMO it was still a bit of a fluke. It happened with a bolt-on Mach if that tells you anything. It wasn't normal by any means.
