Default HRM.

Soooooo hypothetical question.

Say a car...... kinda like mine....... has about 450hp to the wheels. Weight is around 3,050 without driver.

power is broad, as its coming from a roots style blower/supercharger, so 3000-6000rpm is ton's of torque and such.

This car has a well built suspension, drag radials, soon to be slicks, a 5 speed, and a half assed driver (not willing to powershift) behind the wheel.

what do you think said car would run in the 1/4, considering broad powerband?

10's possible?

I'm wondering if said car would hook, due to the broad powerband, so much torque down low might hurt the launch?

or it might make the car much faster, since the power is so broad, would 60' great if it hooked, and there is better shift recovery, I.E. the car won't bog down when you shift, and continue to freight train.

thoughts?

I don't see anything keeping a car like that from touching high 10s in decent DA on a 1.4-1.5 60'. Its apples to oranges, but that's about like slapping slicks on a C6Z, it'll hit 10s.

You thinking blower?

High 10's, bottom 11 @ 126'ish mph on a < 1.5 short time. No power past 6k?

yea, kinda what I was thinking, 60' would have to be low 1.5's or 1.4.

Am I thinking a blower? What would make you ASSume that?

I was more thinking around 123-124, dunno if it would hit 126, but that would be nice, and I agree, like I said above, it would need a low 1.5 to high 1.4 60'.

Don't wanna go past 6,000rpm due to 2 bolt main block, the crank will start doing the funky chicken even at 6,000.

Nice to see you back buddy. How's it goin'?
