Default 2012 F150 Ecoboost vs 2008 srt8 Jeep

So I just picked up a 2008 srt8 jeep and my buddy recently bought a 2012 F150 xlt with the twin turbo 3.5. Over beers last night he was telling me how bad he was going to beat my jeep down, which is of course total bs,lol

I know normally this wouldn't even be a race but Calgary is pretty close to the mountains and my big v8 is going to suffer from the elevation a lot more than his turbo gay v6 (just kidding don't come after me with pitch forks and torches you v6 guys)

I know from running my mustang up here N/A that you can almost knock a second off your time as compared to sea level, not sure how much the elevation will affect his 6er, do you think he has a chance or is this one in the bag for me?

Elevation could be killer... how bad is the DA/Elevation? I wouldn't talk any trash until you figure out just how bad your going to take a hit.

Know what size box and cab his truck has? IIRC there was a motor trend article saying that the ecoboost F150 ran a mid 14 I think?

If its a single cab, short box, 2x4. It might be close. But I'd still bet on you. That EB 3.5 can be made pretty quick (see the Livernois SHO). But he'd have to turn up the wick in those snails before giving you a real honest challenge.

I have extremely limited seat time in the SRT8, but also an extremely large amount of seat time in every ecoboost vehicle out so far. They trucks are comparable to the V8's however they are no rocketship by any means. I'd expect the jeep to take it still.

You should walk him, just make sure you're double clutching and not granny shifting alright.
