Running a 06 STI
One of my Sgt's has a 2007 sti, and since we are about to deploy, he's wanting to rebuild his engine with forged internals and add a bigger turbo... after we get back..
I plan on having a 2012-2013 GT with LT, intake/tune, full exhaust, catted xpipe to start with.. hopefully they have pullies out for the new 5.0 by then... but i know the STI 0-60 is like 4.4... but from a roll, with his bigger turbo, and my GT modded the way it is... how bad will he destroy me? lol

I think with a SC added to all the mods I listed, it'd blow the doors off the STI
He could be pushing well north of ~400 AWHP if it is an aggressive build. But on pump I doubt he can go much higher than 400 AWHP.
You? ~430 RWHP. 0-60 is for him if he launches it hard and right. But the AWD will slow him down on top end. Besides, if you have sticky tires, there might not be much of a gap in between your 0-60 and his. And you'll blow his doors off down the line.

Depending on the amount of boost he is running you can probably win but not on the intial launch. I raced a built evo and he had me at each launch but by 50-60 mph I was passing him up each time. But it all depends how much boost he is running.
Maybe there is some confusion between the numbers we are talking about. Most would agree that 17% is a reasonable number for drivetrain loss from the crank to the wheels. Most stock 2012s are running between 360 and 365 on the dyno. If you add the 17% back in the car is producing 420 -425 at the crank. Depending on the parts purchased for that setup and who does the tune it will produce another 60-70hp and the crank. Translated to the dyno you are looking at 405-408. I have this setup and I will tell you through 3rd and 4th it damn near takes your breath away.
I've seen those cars run high 11s. They are great until they pooch the clutch. Those cars are pretty heavy and with a 4wd clutch drop, it's pretty hard on them. They are fast cars and I'd say a tie. If your sarge has never raced, you will win by one length.
