That makes 2 of us. I'm not the worlds greatest mechanic. I'd hate to have to keep going back and doing a part at a time. I cant imagine these guys that do a cam and then a year later they do heads. It'll be nice to bang it all out even if it takes a month.

I'm on the stock rear with 2.73s and the sotck sluch box. I'm hoping it'll survive enough passes to make me say man this automatic transmission is wasting alot of power and my E/Ts suck because of it. I plan on swapping in a lentech next spring with a 3500-4000 stall.

UPS man never brings **** like that to this house! :/ lol, looks like a lotta fun blue! Cant wait to see the end results!

OT.... but since we have the 2 skittle boys here.... thought Id share the times of the gen1 neon at the 8th track last night.... Believe his best was a 6.86 @ 115mph ! My brother has vids, we'll put'em up...

Oh, and I would imagine that new setup would be good for a high 12 on motor wouldnt it? Or are you keeping the 2.73s for a while?

Edit: 'scuse me... 6.60 @ 116 still spinning

Didn't realize that car still had 2.73s. Those gears and the stock stall is going to hold a lot of that power back, imo. If it makes 300 RWHP with that set-up NA, I think you're looking at a 13.1-13.4 car. some 3.73s or 4.10s would put it into the 12s easily, however. We all know what the stall will do for it, lol. Anyway, gear, stall.... low 12s all day.

But who are we kidding, thats a nitrous car and should see a high 10 in no time

Those are a good set of heads. In the future I'd consider getting a Jay Allan cam custom ground for your specific setup (size of NASZZZ shot, vehicle weight, compression, RPM, suspension setup, goals, rear gear, tire type and height). As is, you should be able to eventually get that thing in the 12's.
