Default Shifting tips

Just bought a 2012 Mustang GT, 6 speed. I can shift well as far as daily driving, but how should i get better at shifting under rapid acceleration? Any tips or suggestions of where to look for more info would be great. I am continuing to practice, but i could be completely wrong on somethings and loose a lot of speed (ie i stay in first until just before redline, but shift to the next gears at different times). Thanks in advance.

that's why i drive an auto

but you can look more into this, if you want to win races and get best possible 1/4 mile ETs this is what you need to do:

you can also break stuff if you screw up. with the 5.0 you'll want to shift as late as you can before hitting the rev limiter, or any car that i know of.
