Island dragway
UPDATE 9/5, Date changed to OCT 6
Not sure how many of you are around that track but, it looks like Oct 6 weekend. I'm going to have a grudge race with a 68 Nova. I know Island dragway is not the best but, I don't care what tack it on. I can keep you up to date on the details, just post here and let me know your going.

that's a 454 punched out 30 over with Brodix heads/intake....Hmmm, that might be a tough one? From experience, anything with a Brodix setup usually runs 10.50s or better. A lot depends on what compression he has as to what type of heads he is running, Brodix has a wide variety of heads based on Bore/stroke/compression, either way, any car that runs Brodix is usually fast! Good luck and post a vid of the race!!

He has 12/1 compression and we have both driven each others cars. He told me he needed all the help he could get to take me. I felt after driving his car, its going to be close. He had 4:56's and an auto. I have 3:55's and a 5 speed. He should take me out of the gate but i should be able to run him down.
I'll be running it all out. Been practicing speed shifting. I have 1st to 2nd down. Still working on 2nd to 3rd. The last time i did any speec shifting was at the track 35 years ago!

Id like to come out for this, island is cose to me, but honestly man that Nova got you covered big time I think, 4.56, auto, big cubes. That car sounds setup for the strip, and sounds like a low 10 second car. With your power level,weight, only 17inch rims with radials, and a mild street setup suspension your probably going to be running mid 12s, maybe low 12s. How much track expereince do you have? I dont know why you would think your going to pull on the top end, his car has 150 horsepower on you and a boat load of torque. If theres any money on this race I have a feelign your being played.
