My car is the 05 with mods in sig. My buddy bought a 5.0 13 with 3.31s and a manual - bone stock. From a dig to say about a 80mph..thoughts? Assume the driver mod is equal.

I'm asking because he said its not even a race. I think I lose but not by ridiculous car lenghts....

 

Subscribing as our mods are similar and I've been wondering this too.

 

From a dig it could be close. From a roll he'll out mile per hour you big time.

 

Agree with Blue. Dig is a drivers race, roll is his race.

 

If u r equal drivers, you are toast. He's got 70 odd ponies on you.

 

I don't think the HP difference has that much to do with this particular race. There is a big gap there, but both cars are low 13-13.0 (or random high 12) second cars, one just traps much higher, so a 0-80 mph run isn't really enough room IMO for the 5.0 to start showing its deal. Talking less than an 1/8th mile here.

I'd like to see the 0-80, 0-120, and then a roll... show where these cars strong and weak points are.

 

Like a few others have said.. roll race he'll pull you really hard.. From a dig, it'll be close and would probably say you have him in the 8th with just your suspension/chassis mods.. That is if you can drive/launch.. in a quarter I'd still say he has you.. However, being that he just got his car he might not know how to drive it very well.. dig races are very much a drivers race..

 

i've run my buddies stock '11 5.0 and from 40-80 we were dead even, after that he started to pull. you've got gears and alot of other good stuff, i think you could get him outta the hole, but he'll come passing by around 90 or so depending on your launch

 

Thanks...Ive told him I think he gets me after the shift into 3rd gear. He keeps throwing out hp and mototrend stats....

 

Easiest way to settle it is to just run them..
