Another potential run....

It did have a slightly bigger turbo but it also had to haul around another 400 pounds over the neon so stock for stock it was outperformed by the neon SRT-4 in every catagory. Seeing as how it posted slightly worse numbers that it's predasessor I doubt it's getting into the 12s with a few basic mods. The whole stock turbo neon hitting 11s thing without spray or a larger turbine wheel (And a humongus amount of weight reduction) always seamed pretty far fetched to me. There's a reason why everyone slaps a bigger turbo on their Srt-4.

I'm in a rush at the moment, so here is one off of dragtimes. I've deff seen faster. (I mean this run was 3 years ago)
Just a Mopar S1, exhaust, intake and a wga with just some race gas thrown into it. Not the most solid setup, Realtune has great kits for them..
12.78@112

Hell, even the weak Cobalt SC has ran 12's on the factory Heaton without nitrous.

Ok I'm not going to argue about it but owning 1 yourself I thought you of all people would not have bought into the internet hype. Have you ever seen one with the simple mods you mentioned dip into the 12s personally? I haven't and I was at Atco and Cecil all the time before 75% had been wrecked 5 years ago.

Were talking about the Caliber here, as that mod list and slip is from.(Not the Neon, as your time span reflects)
Setup right it's a 350+whp stock turbo. No hype, somethings wrong if that can't hit a 12. Hahaha
And for the Neon's sake, you said you ran a few high 12's with the Mopar S2 kit, bolt-on setup with a lot left in it with a CMR tune and e85 or similar.

Yea I did hit a FEW high 12s with a stg.2, big intercooler, stripped interior, race gas, on slicks, etc. To me thats more than a few modest mods? Not to mention I **** Excellence while driving! Just use your car or my old car for a real world example. You and I both ran high 11s with a bigger turbo/intercooler etc. I believe you had the luxury of a race head? It's not easy to get a wrong wheel drive car down the track fast. And the caliber doesn't out perform the original SRT-4. Stock for stock or mod for mod. You brought up the 11 second stock turbo thing. Do you really think you could get an 11 secound pass out of a stock turbo? Think about what you ran with a 50 trim/race head car before you answer that. With the 540FWHP you sitting on right now you should be well into the 10s pulling a 2900 pound car down the track. Whats your best time with all that power? That last question isn't breaking your ***** about your driving skill. It's about how hard these cars are to make a good pass in.

50 trim was never tuned...stock head (Never saw the track, wasn't even on the car 200 miles). No best time with 540whp, car is parted out .Though the 11.77@122 was with 383whp (Not even pressed hard enough for the head to show), 1.73 60' slicks with just Mopar springs (no coilovers..), single upper mount, nothing else..
Pulled an 8.3@96 on the old Delta 44 with a 2.1 60' on streets with 348whp ..
I have no doubts I could have pulled 10's with the 6262 setup if the input shaft held. Though not tracked so there is no point to get to on driving with that. First time on slicks ever being to the 1/4 I left with a 1.9 60' and an 11 sec pass with a D65 on low boost and pump.. 11.8@123, next time I went was the 11.7@122,ONLY two times I've been to the 1/4. Either we both are good at driving or it's not that hard.
Getting off point. Fact was like UPR has seen: Yes a Caliber can run 12's with bolt ons.

Hahaha, not really. Parted out now but if I tracked it when it was 538 I would predict it was a 133/134mph car. Was a rush that's for sure. Then again that dyno was on 27psi, turned it up to 30 and that 10.8 leaned out..who knows what it was making..
Base S2 now with exhaust. Mayyyyybe 105mph...hahaha
