12.86 @ 112.07 at Castrol Race Way (2300-2400ft above sea level) & I ran with a full tank of gas, however all 4 of my runs I got locked out of 3rd gear and haven't had a chance to go back since putting in the 2 post Barton Shifter due to weather canceling the Street Legals.

Current Mods:
Steeda 101mm Intake
JBA Xpipe /w Cat Deletes
Roush Axleback
Bama 93 Race Tune
Stock 245/45/19 Pirelli's

hoping next week weather isnt bad so I can make a few more passes and hopefully aim for low 12's

no biggie, it's a good comparison between the two cars.. as always though, I would say skill in shifting does play a role in netting great times vs just mashing the gas

On a side note, are bias ply racing tires like the MT ET Streets a good tire for the 5.0??

I still have a pretty lightly used set sitting in my shed.. haven't been used in two years since my 08 supercharged GT. Tires worked great, but proved to be too sticky for the stock torque converter, only helped with traction once boost kicked in but not off idle like I had hoped.

I plan on trying them out if I get a new 5.0!

Based on what I have read, would a good set of racing tires be good for low to mid 12's with just a custom tune and cold air intake?

I would think a good racing tire would easily bring ya into low-mid 12s.

I am surprised at some of the times I am hearing with the autos on here at the track alot of the auto guys are running faster then the manuals here for the most part till they up against some modded manuals.

I hope so

That MT ET Street is more of a slick than a drag radial and feels like it would be better for high low end torque than a high strung motor. I just don't feel like shelling out anymore money to run excellent times lol

The manual would be fun as hell to race, but knowing me, I'd end up breaking stuff! rofl
