Default tuner virgin

Hey guys i need some help... so far i have a CAI, throttle body spacer, and i am now putting true duals with a cat and muffler delete, with an x pipe... i have an 08 v6 4.0, and i now belive i NEED a turner to feel the full fruits of my labor... am i right?

and also can you educate me just a little... i hear people say canned tunes or custom... what does this mean... i need one that i can turn off O2 sensors and whatnot but i want to squeeze the most HP out of my car on regular gas...

and also i will not be doing "dyno tuning" just me my tuner and my garage... so what is the best handheld for me...

thanks you guys so much for dealing with my tuner virginity

canned tunes come with the tuner, like just basic fuel economy tunes and such. Custom tunes are...custom made for your exact setup and what you want out of it. Custom being obviously much better but you have to pay someone to do it.

It will most likely come with a USB cable and you just download them to your computer. And yeah they can remove speed limiters. Idk about rev limiters though.

No idea which one is best, I see a lot of people using the SCT ones. Also I saw on here one time somebody saying $60. But I also saw on americanmuscle that you get free custom bama tunes for life if you but an sct tuner. But I don't know how good those ones are if they're free... Go to americanmuscle.com and browse there.

AM: 50 per tune (BAMA tune) - thats id you buy a sct not w/ AM.
Brenspeed: $75 for 1 or 3 for $125
Delta Force: Sniper Tuned is what you want to go w/ imo.

It's ^^ around 680 dollars for the whole kit which is worth every penny check it out. It's like having a dyno-shop in your garage, its the best user adjustability device out there and they have an awesome customer service.... like you can call them up and they walk you step by step through the program and will help you help yourself customize a tune. But if your just sticking w/ gears and some bolt-ons save your money and get a SCT custom tuner from AM. From what you've said, it'll serve the purpose your after. Because personally I think you'll be disappointed if you got w/ a diablo tuner. Plus, Am now w/ BAMA tuning has been pretty good in terms of emailed tunes i must say.
