Default Should I get a tuner?

I have K&N CAI and flowmaster mufflers. Would buying a tuner really improve numbers WORTH the price for the tuner or am i better off leaving the car un-tuned for now?

If you do recommend a tuner; which should i get? i own a 97 GT. Romeo engine/2V/4.6L/automatic.

I plan to leave it NA. Other mods for the future are throttle body and plenum, 4.10 gears, slotted/cross drilled rotors. This wont be for another while though (months).

on another note; are you in the Corps?

No don't buy one unless you want seriouse issues with your ride I have to take mine to the dealer to get the ecu reflashed . Sct tuner didn't save my stock tune properly . And the bama tunes are crap had a crappy idle on it go from 1000rpm to 600 rpm kept jumping around

It's worth getting the tuner if your tinkering with your vehicle alot, and they can always be resold if you change your mind about all of that.

Yes, do the tune.
Tens of thousands of Mustang owners can't be wrong, a tune is one of the best single mods you can do to a late model EFI vehicle.

Thanks

Yep, custom tunes from Brenspeed or AM give you free retunes for each mod. I need to get one...

These are some of my concerns, I just got a cat-back exhaust on it and I am going to be going to longtubes and an off-road x-pipe. My final upgrade will be possibly a Kenne Bell SC and depend on what I need possible bigger injectors also. Depending on if the setup come with that. Don't know if I should go with a tuner or just get it dyno tuned. Or in my fashion I might just get dyno tuned and get a hand held just in case.
