You'll need a tuner for later mods, and it is good bang for your buck, so why not get it now?

My first mod will be a CAI and tune.

Get a CAI and a Tune. I just put one on my stock 08. I am blown away by the difference in my car. It took me all of 45 minutes, to install the CAI and tune. The best bang for the buck I can think of. It runs better, gas pedal feels like it should This should be your first mod.

I've read almost everywhere (haven't done it yet myself) that a tune is one of the best bang for the buck mods you can do, especially with custom tunes for life if your planning on doing lots of mods

Just remember, a tune will void your warranty. I had ordered a brand name tuner, but cancelled my order and went with the Ford Racing tune which, if installed by the dealer, will not void your warranty. Once I'm out of warranty, I'll add a more agressive tune, but not until then.

Just my 2 cents. Lots of opinions on this topic.

Everyone kept telling me to get a tuner to get the most out of my upgrades. I ordered a Bama Tuner and should be here tomorrow. What tunes do you guys normally run when you want the best performance out of a DD ?

Talk to your dealer. Mine said they would still honor the warranty. worst case i would need to return to stock if my issue may be tune related. the SCT SF3 i got from AM can do that.

There are lots of opinions on this but like anything else, it depends on what you want to do with your vehicle (daily driver, race, etc.). Tuners are one of the most popular mods we sell for Mustangs so that must tell you something! People can have a bad experience with anything (nothing is perfect) but do your homework and you will see the majority of people are having great success with tuners. I am a big fan of reading reviews from people who have bought the product which is what makes this forum so helpful. We also have 1000's of reviews on tuners we carry and you can click here to read them.
Good luck and most important...have fun!!
