Exclamation Some questions about my tunes and adjusting them.

Hey everyone, just bought an SCT SF3/X3 Tuner. Came loaded with my 3 custom tunes from BAMA.

My car is a 99 GT Automatic, w/ O/R X-Pipe, Catback, and an Intake. First thing i did was load up the 93 OCT Race tune and went for a test drive. First thing I noticed was when under 1/4 throttle or 1/2 throttle, the car doesnt shift into 2nd gear until about 3000-3200rpm, and when it does its not very firm its almost sloppy like. But the 2-3 shift is perfect, its around 2500rpm just cruising and is nice and firm. I was just wondering if the race tune was just designed this way and is supposed to be like that or should something be changed?

Also, I noticed during WOT, my 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift are very high, a little over 6000 (Redline). Is there any way I can lower the shift points and make them more firm for WOT, AND for just my daily driving all in one tune? I know I can adjust the tunes before I upload them(Adjust Settings), but dont quite understand them. Under the WOT Shift 1-2 ect, I can either go down to -3mph or up to 7mph, I dont really understand what that means.

Basically, can anyone guide me to adjust the tune just a little to make cruising/daily driving a little better?

Off topic but Ive seen tons of videos of automatic SCT Tuned GT's spinning a little in 2nd, I dont even get a little chirp when going into 2nd. Not really a big deal or anything, nobody wants to spin, but I just figured id ask

Thanks in advance!

Another thing I just noticed is that after driving for a little while, my Overdrive ON/OFF will flash on my dash until I turn the car off and start back up.

have you tried the street and performance tune instead of race?

You can also call them if you think something off. i have chatted with the Am folks and they are pretty responsive.

You dont want your tires to spin in 2nd; spin = losing speed = losing the race.
