Default Vortech IAT Compensation

I have a Vortech with a custom tune. The IAT sensor is in the MAF (stock location) pre-blower. I am adding a custom after cooler and have relocated the IAT sensor to the elbow post blower right next to the throttle body. Does anyone know how a tuner would compensate for increased IAT temps with the sensor before the blower? Is it a simple offset of the numbers ie. adding 20 degrees to the real reading? Is it much more complicated than I am imagining?

its really simple in the tune to set this up to pull however much timing you want based on IAT (and ECT).

Thanks

here is a screenshot from an 06 GT, showing the ACT spark modifiers.

Thanks Mike, I have never seen those tables before. I did some data logging and it looks like mine is set up to start pulling timing at 100 degrees. Maybe that's why my car seems sluggish off the line. Sitting still with hood down IAT is easily 118-120 degrees. I already have the IAT sensor relocated so next I'm going to data log that one and see what the temps going in really are. Once I get the aftercooler finished I figure I'll be safe running it this way. I'll be leaving a little bit of power on the table like this, but I can't get it tuned at my leisure because the tuner left my state.

Are those tables for a stock configuration? It looks like timing would start being pulled at 150 degrees. Is there any way to know what a multiplier of -80 would be in degrees of timing?

Yes, thats a stock file.

I'm not sure what that -80 refers to, let me check it out.

OK, figured it out.

Gotta look at the ACT spark table in conjunction with the multiplier.

The spark values are very small in the table, so they use large multipliers to get where they want to be

see attached:

Did some comparisons last night. Ambient temp out was about 60 degrees F. During normal driving post supercharger IAT sensor was reading 145 degrees. Pulled over, switched wires and MAF IAT was reading 77 degrees.
