Question SCT tuner ???

Ok about 9 months ago i bought a 06 GT, I contacted the guy who traded it in at the local ford dealership. He informed me he had a SCT tuner with 3 tunes on it from BAMA. I bought it from him along with some other parts he had. Well I traded it in (with the 87 tune on it), on a 2012 GT. The car has allready sold from the dealership and I contacted the guy who bought it. He is acting like he doesnt want the tuner, I offered it too him for $200. OK so my question is what do i have to do to make this tuner of any use to me, I did not return the car to stock because with the mods that were done to the car runs like crap without a tune on it.

Joe,

Congratulations on the 12' GT, They're amazing machines. These tuners are VIN locked, so that device since it was not returned to stock, can only be used on that car at the moment. You either have to get with the owner and pull the tune off or send it to SCT to be unlocked for a one time fee of $150.

Unfortunately these are the only two options. Let me know if I can be of any assistance! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Contact SCT and pay the $150 for them to clear and reflash it. Small piece of mind for them to do it and update the firmware so it's compatible with your 2012.
Double check the S/N too as only the tuners that start with XP are compatible for upgraded firmware and use on an 11+ model

Sell it locked for 100 bucks, easiest way out.
