Without some other mods, the tuner isn't going to give you much. Get the other bolt on's first. Then get gears, T-Lok, and the tuner. Read the manual it comes with, and go from there.
I was looking at those 4.10s and was trying to find a less expensive t-lock although I don't think a t-lock is necessary for an automatic.
It's not necessary, but it does make the rear end more stable in certain situations. Like drag racing, or laying down rubber.
