Blue flame equals alcohol base and a yellow flame equals petroleum base.

Blue flame means a hotter burn too. I just don't like leaving more carbon in the system than it started with.
And Dollar...post whoring ain't gonna get you anywhere..I'm the expert..remember??

what is the name of the stuff on their website, and how do i use it. that sounds like i'm completely retarded.

if they are clogged, go buy you some SeaFoam. that may clear it up. other than that... i dot know how you would check besides taking off your exhaust and looking into your converters. they should look like a honeycomb
DO NOT GET SEAFOAM!!!! When I took over for the franchise, the first thing I did was DUMP a bunch of cases. Justice Brother's products work a LOT better. Don't believe me? Put a small puddle of Seafoam on a clean dish..light it up and let it burn off. 2 things I noted..1 the flame burnt yellow. 2, when it burnt off, there was a LOT of carbon left on the dish. Do the same with the Justice Brothers cleaner. First, it burns clear to blue. Hotter flame. and second, when it's burnt off, there is little to NO residue. The whole point is to get rid of the carbon..not add more.

you got suckered into a salesmans pitch.

you should know that open air burning is vastly different than burn under pressure. pressurized burn allows more energy to be released from a molecule

gun powder is no different.

light a pile of IMR-5010 in open air and watch it slowly burn leaving alot of residue behind. load it into a 300rwmington ultra mag pushing a 180 gr bullet down the barrel and there is almost complete burn with little residue coming out the end of the barrel.

anyways the main purpose for Seafoam is to scrub thick oily deposits out of your intake and from your intake valves if run through a vaccum port which it does fantastically, and to clean deposits from injector nozzles.

what else is there to clean??

no solvent will clean after combustion and very few solvents will leave carbon behind in the combustion chamber

also color of flame doesn't necessarly mean a hotter flame. ever see potassium metal or sodium metal burn? it's yellow and extremely hot

ever see thermite ( a mix of aluminum and iron powder) burn again yellow flame and hot enough to melt just about anything when ignited

when it comes to hydrocarbons color of flame doesn't mean much

Acetylene and propane you can cut steel with both but the acetylene is faster? why more oxygen is used to make a hotter flame than propane can. guess which one has a yellow flame???

I got suckered by nobody. I've used Justice Brothers products for years. I stand by my statement. Seafoam is crap. plain and simple.

if you notice i never said Justice brothers was junk. it is very good stuff as is Seafoam.

Seafoam has stood the test of time. if it didn't work or made carbon buildup they would have went out of business along time ago.

i'll say it again those open air flame tests prove nothing for how it will burn in an engine under 9.0:1 compression

u put it in the gas tank, like injection cleaner or something but

a muffler shop or almost any shop can check if theyre clogged by burning a hole in front of and behidn the converter, and see by how much air comes out and where whether it is clogged or not,or at least thats how they checked mine.....put ur hand over ur exhaust and see if its putting out alot, lol be careful tho
