Default Mods List...

What are good horsepower and speed gainers from smaller mods? (i.e. no heads, turbo, s/c, cam, etc.)

Ive came up with a list of some things I know of already....

- u/d pulley
- Headers
- Full exhasut
- Throttle body
- K&N air filter
- Cold Air Intake

Please post any other mods you know of.....

LOL, I already listed throttle body, but hey we all make mistakes What exactly does porting the intake consist of and whats the benefits? It can be done to the stock intake correct? Also, I dont really need a tuner...its a 5spd.

If you don't port the intake when you put on a new Throttle Body, you can actually lose a little power. Not porting with a bigger T/B creates a step so to speak, and it disrupts the airflow. You can port and polish the entire intake for a better airflow. And yes, you can do it on the stock intake. So basically, if you go with a 65mm T/B, the intake opening needs to be 65mm as well.

EDIT!!
I didn't see the comment on the tuners..The tuner will adjust the air/fuel mix, and spark advance. Also with it you can remove the speed limiter, adjust the rev limiter and adjust the speedo when you get gears. Without it your speedo will be way off when you get gears. And no, you can't just replace the speedo gear on the newer Stangs. It's computer controlled.

Huh? A tuner works on sticks and automatics.... And they're good for quite a bit of horsepower depending on how many mods you've already done. ESPECIALLY with a dyno tune. You'd probably even get better gas milage.

yes tuners work on both, and you will need it for when you upgrade to 4.10 gears and a t-lok
