It's not too long when compared to all of the other reading he'll have to do, ut 4.10s offer a little bit better accelleration than 3.73s, but in my opinion, are not really practical for an everyday driver, now if you're like 03yellowpony and are an autocrosser and or a ricer killer, then they're perfect.
wrong again, if your a DD you go 4.10 if your a weekend you get a 8.8 and do 4.30s especially for autos, there is no reason why you shouldnt do 4.10s your lazy enough as it is not to shift gears so you dont do anything anyways

Dude, there is not a huge difference between 4.10s and 3.73s, granted, there is a decent difference, but not enough to make you blow your load over. Look, harv has 4.10s right, and on the interstate at around 75 mph he sits at 3000 rpms, that's pretty high and is burning extra gas that 3.73s won't burn. If your looking to be fast, and willing to loose 2 mpg, then get 4.10s, if your looking to only loose 1 mpg, and get a decent bit of pick up, then get 3.73s. It's all personal preference, remember, a lot of people have 4.10 and wouldn't go any other way, and that's probably because they can afford the gas, and are looking to get an extra bit of pickup as they are more than likely racing there car, on the other hand there are people on here who had 4.10s and hated them because of the mpg loss, which suggest to me that they only wanted a decent bit of pickup without loosing too much mpg. We can argue about this all day, but point is it's personal preference. I never tell anybody to get one or the other, and I really think you guys should quit doing that, give them advice about each and let them make the choice.
