Default 2001 V6 mods

Ive got a 2001 V6, and ive got a few questions.....I want to get an exhaust kit and dont really know what kind to get, and after i do that, i dont knwo where to go but i do want to make it more powerful. I need to get an exhaust, and whatever after that. I know what after i get the exhaust, that im going to get a cold air intake. After those 2 things, however, i dont know what to do.

1 minor thing....I dont have enough money for the supercharger, so thats out of the question.

Go to www.pypes.com and check thier systems. www.autobadges.com carries MAC CAI's. He's one of our sponsors who spends a lot of time here.
Also check these stickys for advice and info...

If you want to get name brand piping...which i suggest, it will cost you some cash, but you can always go down to your local exhaust shop and have them install their own x-pipe and a couple of flowmaster mufflers...which might cost you between 150-$200(installed), other namebrand kits can cost 300 to $500. After the exhaust getting the CAI isn't a bad idea...from there i would go with new pullys and possibly get new gears and a tlok...and don't forget to get rims and a good suspension, gotta make your mustang standout from all the other ponies

What Yellow says. I got the Pypes header back true dual with cat'd X pipe. Sounded great by itself but got a bit ricey at higher RPMs. Got a BBK CAI and it's much throatier now at the higher ranges.

If your going to get the supercharger...get 3.73 gears, not 4.10, the final drive ration is better when you got 3.73 w/forced induction

If he has an auto., then yes, the 4.10 would be fine, but if hes got a manual then the 3.73 would be the better choice.

4.10's are fine with the manual too...that is just a myth about the manual vs auto thing.
