Default x-pipe versus y-pipe

I was looking into getting a new exhaust, and dont know wether i should get an x-pipe, or just stay with the stock y-pipe and go from there. im looking for the most power possible, so i dont know if its going to be straight pipes, the x-pipe, or whatever.

Dump the Y-pipe. Go with either the straight pipes or the X-pipe. No power dif, but the X-pipe sounds better IMO.

It's less expensive to keep your Y pipe and just get a Y pipe to dual exhaust cat bact system, plus they bolt right up.
A true dual exhaust consists of cutting off your Y pipe and separating the right side from the left, which needs to be done by a muf shop unless you are a welder. You can add an X pipe if you like, but they aren't cheap and they don't give you any horsepower gains. Some people do like the added sound from an X pipe, but personally, I like the stereo effect (lack of a better word) of true duals with no crossover pipe.

True duals<Y pipe
You need to learn how to do greater than and lesser than. [sm=smiley36.gif]
IE:

greater than = >
lesser than = <

So you said:
True duals (are lesser than) Y pipe
