Default Ebay CAI

Hey...

Lost out to the used BBK CAI off ebay. I was wondering if the ebay cheaper CAI is any good?

They fit good or are they junk and need tons of modification.

I have a wanted post i nthe classified section for a used intake for my 3.8, but no response yet. And I want to get an intake as soon as possible.

So any info on the ebay intake will be appreciated.

Thanks

not intirely true, some people including jthorn have gotten cai's on ebay and said they worked perfectly fine. i have never heard them decreasing hp but some have said that they dont fit right, but its an easy fix with a quick trip to the harware store. its your call though.

i have one and it's fine. it's the same thing as mac minus the Carb number to make it pass emissions. i don't see how it would decrease HP.

hmmm, i'm leaning towards just getting a K+N drop in cone filter instead of even bothering with a ebay CAI

I'de like to get a BBK CAI but, I dont have the 200$ right now to spend on that...if any one has a used BBK or MAC CAI for a 94-98 3.8 i'll jump on it...

thanks for the info

I also bought one off ebay and it fit perfectly and is still holding up like new after a year of being on my car. It was about $50 shipped to my door.

i wish someone made one for my car, that wasnt a POS so called "ram air" intake that just sucks in hot air from the engine, that actually comes with a carb sticker

I have a bomz racing one from ebay. $50-60 shipped to the door. It fit o.k. Sounds cool and seems to give a more crisp throttle response. The cool sound is worth $50!! Later.

Shayne, if I recall, mine is also Bomz Racing. I don't know which seller I bought from, but I believe that is the "brand" name.
