dealer emblems
Can anyone tell me a surefire way of removing a dealer emblem as carefully as possible?
My one buddy told me that I could take a flat-head screw driver and carefully pry/pop it off, then use paint thinner to get rid of the excess leftovers and marks that the emblem left. Would paint thinner do any harm to my clearcoat?

well it depends on the type of emblem is it a solid emblem or just a sticker. and no the paint thinner wouldnt harm your clear. if it is a solid emblem do not use a screw driver just try to do it with you fingers cuz the screw driver will prolly scrath your paint. get a good grip on it and pull they are usually pretty easy to pull off cuz they are just adhesive.
i used kinda a combo of Lazer Red v6's and tncruiser's ideas to do mine....used a hair dryer...or heat gun....and some floss or fishing line to kinda saw behind the emblem....then use the goo gone to take off all the extra gunk
What i did when i was removing my Factory Emblems, is i took a guitar wire (the thinest one) and just wrap it around my fingers and just slide it down through the glue that is holding the Emblem.... and if u are gonna do this keep the wire closer to the emblem not to the paint.... it went very easy for me.....
