Default V6-GT could it be the same?

If my 99' stang got up to around 225 hp and a stock stang GT is about the same stock (220-225hp) would my v6 stang theoretically pull and take-off like a GT if it had the same hp/tq even tho it is a v6?

there're more to it than that, gearing and powerband are an issue also

yeah gearing is too, but if you got 230rwhp v6 and a 230rwhp v8, and assuming no mods are done to the 8, then its safe to say the v6 will take the 8

i would liek to see the difference in powerbands but i got homework out the @$$ so i dont have the time right now, if they were the same, the 6er would win cause it weighs less and they were the same, (coupe 5 speed)

Maybe, maybe not, there are just too many variables in this one.

GT has wider tires, both tires get power, etc...but if all that was even and the only difference was 6 and 8, then I would say they would have to be the same if hp and tq were equal. but that's not gonna happen with this 6 as it is built differntly, i.e. SOHC vs. pushrod.
