Default 2.3L air/fuel mixture

i have a 88 2.3L stang, is their ne possible way to bypass the comp to lean it out ne, i went and got a CAI and put it on, it runs rich, ne ideas or if some one knows how to or sumtin, i would love to know how to lean it out.

if it's running rich, then there's something wrong, like your O2 sensor or something, I'd get the trouble codes ran first to see what's wrong, bypassing the computer probably would be a bad idea...

ok then O2 sensor, might it help if it was screwed into my header?, its pluged into the wires and stuff, but i got it zip tied up and away, might that be why?

probably, the computer uses that to regulate how much fuel it puts in, since it's reading the atmosphere, there's not going to be much fuel in the air...

not really, the computer should be doing a decent job itself on getting the mixture right, if it's not then there's probably a problem somewhere in the fuel system or computer
