Hi, I have a 1994 mustang. It is an automatic and has ran great for years but suddenly it has been having some weird issues. I have to put it into neutral to start it, use the parking brake to keep it from rolling away and sometimes have to repeatedly switch it in and out of gear to get it to drive. Just yesterday it stopped going in reverse, after alot of fiddling i put it in park to give up and voila...it goes in reverse...wth? Now today it wont go in reverse even in park...anyone know whats going on here?

 

IDk...sounds like a switch problem.

 

Switch? Whats that exactly so I can look into it, I have never heard of it.

maybe u need a rebuilt transmission?? how many miles is on it.

 

sounds like your linkage is loose, im not sure where that would be on the trans, and if thats not it sorry
