my car is making too much noise. it seriously sounds like a zoo under the hood. there's hissing, chirping (not only the barring but i think its something with the alternator as well because when i revv it gets worse and worse). ehhhh mustangs suck sometimes...actually fords in general suck sometimes. does anyone know what the hissing sound could be? it sounds like my car is on god damn life support or something....help=(

Is it a hissing or like a whining almost like a loose belt noise....cause my alternator started doin that recently....at first i thought i might be power stering or sumtin to do with pulleys but i pin pointed that it was coming from the back of the alternator with a mechanics stethescope...If anyone has ideas on this i would also appreciate it...

Does anyone else have noise coming from there alternator?
Is there sumthing to change in the alternator or do you just have to replace it>?

my check engine light has always been on due to some air malfunction. when i revv the engine with the hood up it sounds kinda like one of those cord ***** in a whistle...it's hard to explain. i probably have the same problem you do.

 

Sounds quite a bit like my issues...I think I am just gonna try replacing the alternator for now and see how that goes...Once I get around to it I will let you know how it goes, if in fact that was all it was

 

i just dont understand how the alternator is the part going bad out of all things? i know it controls like the main electric functioning of your car and none of my other parts are bad?...someone explain. and keep it simple=)
