Auto Trans => Man Trans
Hey i was wondering if anyone has done a automatic transmission swap to manual transmission swap to their V6 2000-2004. I really want to do it but first off i want to have a goal amount of money that i need to save up...i have friends that work at a firestone dealer that might have the tools to do it...however i also dont know much on doing it so if someone had a detailed instructions on how to do it that would be amazing...BTW this is pretty much my real FIRST post.
Thanks everyone!

I saw modify your auto. Sure, manuals are fun to drive, but autos are more consistent. And can be built to be faster than manuals. I say keep the auto hombre.
But if you want one, just search teh site. There are easily over a billion threads on that exact same question.

The thing is i have read almost every thread on this subject and everyone is saying either just get this or that and youll be fine but no one accually has a detailed explination...thats all i am asking for...I am only in Highschool and i am really not trying to go for speed more for enjoy ment out of the car and i sometimes get bored just driving using one foot for break and gas.

you will need a T-5 tranny, clutch, clutch pedal assembly, new break pedal, cross memer, shifter, shifter linkage, driveshaft possibly, and some wireing im sure
my $.02, torque convertor, trans go shift kit w/manual valve bodies (clutchless manual) and some gears and a t-lok
