hey i have a 1989 lx with a trans that i ran ,with the screw and nut loose. for the (rev. band adj. ).well of course i ended up with no reverse and sliping in forward .but i had to get home about 10 miles from home .when i got to the house the trans was hott .lol ok very hott .so i got another trans put it in the car wouldnt even turn over lol my luck. so took it out and the center support thrust washer #3 the book says was shot twisted and mangled . WHATS MY BEST OPTIONS ?????????????ANY1 thanks in advance

Replace/rebuild the A4LD or swap in a T5.

overheating the one would that hurt anything inside ? what would chew that washer up on the other ?

can i use the overheateded trans parts?if the bands were just loose ?

No. When you overheat them, you ruin them.
