i was wondering if the mach system actually does anything or is it just for looks and does it replace the air intake?

are you talking about the CDC shaker kit? if so its mostly for looks, cause you most likely won't be going fast enough for it to do any good.

it just looks good and it moves around when you drive to "force more air in" i think your might gain 5rwhp if your going like 120 mph.
