blinker problem
on my 97 i just found out that my neutral system switch or something was broken but a guy was able to bypass it by removing a cable in the gearbox
but anyways shortly affter that (1 hour) my blinkers will not work. Neither do my hazards. When i flick my blinker on it doesnt light up and just stay on, nor does it come on at all.
Anyone know what to look for when blinkers suddenly do not work.

First off, I would say check your fuses to make sure you haven;t blown any. After that, check your wiring, then bulbs.....but if it is all for signal lights, I'm pretty sure the problem while lie with the fuses/switches/wiring.
man when i searched before posting i found a thread on that stupid blinker fluid made up ****, wow what a waste of time....
fuses - they will be all in that one fuse box right?
switches - can you please explain these to me?
wiring - which wires do i check specifically?
sorry i am quite a noob to this

I am experiencing problems with my blinkers as well. They don't work either. The air bag light comes on and I have no backup lights. So whenever I see my airbag light come on, I know something's wrong.
I changed the #1 fuse, 15 amp, and that only lasts 20 minutes tops. Then put in a 20 amp, that popped before getting to the end of the driveway. I have put in a 25 amp but have not driven it since doing so. I am still looking for the cause. I am going on vacation and will have to deal with it afterwards.[

Hey, I just noticed we have the same car - '97. If either of us finds a solution, let the other know.

2. Switches are the things that allow the power to flow to your lights, etc. Hence making your turn signal arm and your 4-way button switches.
3. Check the wiring at the back of all four turn signal lights, and make sure both the positive and ground wires are connected......disconnect your battery BEFORE doing this.
Your fuses should be were the problem is at so check those, in both boxes, and go form there. Hopfully it will be just a blown fuse and you can put a new one in, if it is a switch or bad wires, you may have to take apart some part of your car....but I'm pretty confident its a fuse, majority of all electrical failures on cars are due to fuses, except dead batteries.
excellent info
an important peice of info to point out to you though is that about an hour before it went a guy was fixing my neutral safety switch which is under my dash with all that wiring...i'm thinking he may have accidently just disconnected a cable...
what about the fuses...which numbers should i look for and do i need a specific amp rating?
