Problem is, if you buy 17" tires and have 16" rims...they WON'T fit. You need to read the tire size on the tires you have now. The last 2 digits are the rim size. Ie: 245/60R16 means you have 16" rims.

Ok..the first line you wrote was a little confusing..Yes, they would fit. If the back rims are wide enough..9 or 10"ers...
Front ones..no sweat even on stock width rims...

Hope that makes sense...I think I confused myself on that one. LOL

OHHH..hehe...sorry. Depends on what you are gonna do. I like Kuhomo, Pirelli's, Michelin's, and for autocrossing, Yoko's or Hoosiers.

EDIT~
Now you see why I usually stay out of tire threads. LOL

I'd look at the Kuhomo line. They are a good cross breed. Good in both daily driving, and autocrossing. That is what I was looking at when I sold the girl.

We used to make the Redwood Road run a LOT when I was in my 20's. We did time runs from Skyline to the golf course turn in CV. I did it in my Ranger work truck(filled with parts and supplies) in a tad over 14 minutes. Not bad for a loaded down 4banger. And lets just say, I had a lot of stuff to put back in the parts bins when I was done! And I got her up on 3 tires a few times! [8D]
