Default Programmer question

Was looking over the idea of installing a chip/tuner on my 3.8 and was told that if i run on say stage 2 that i will need to run on supreme fuel. Also, is it a good idea to chip my car considering it has almost 67k miles?

That's the beauty of using a flash tuner. Both DiabloSport, and SCT give you 3 levels of tune. One each for low, mid, and premium grade gas. PLUS, you can "adjust" the tune as you see fit. Ie: adding a few degrees of advance, changing the rev limiter, adjusting the air/fuel..etc. And it's a sinch to change the tune. And even easier to install the tune the first time. No digging up the ECM, and popping the chip out, taking a chance of zapping the new chip with static..

I want to go with diablo. Well is it that stage 1 is low grade fuel, stage 2 is midgrade, and stage 3 is premium?? And what do you think about tuning the 3.8 with 67k miles on it..i need it to be reliable for atleast 2 or 3 more years.
Thanks.

HELL YES! I had 52K on mine when I sold her, and had no probs with the tune. And I tweaked the heck outa the tune. At the time they only offered the premium tune. And yes, 1 is reg, 2 mid, and 3 premo. Trust me, the permagrin factor is priceless. [8D]

I mean right now the car has 67k miles on it. Would it be safe programming it now, with 67k++ miles.
