Default Shift ****

I have a 95 auto and I was wondering how do you take off the shift ****?.....I want to know because I got a tbirdr **** for the junkyard toady, which I like better because it feels more confortable. All I had to do to get the tbird was pull on, but when I pull on the mustang one, it doesn;t buge at all, and I don't want to reef on it. So does anyone now how to take it off, I checked Haynes and couldn't find any info either.

Thanks

On the drivers side of the shift ****, near the very bottom you'll see a small hole. You must take a allen wrench and loosen the little screw up. After its loosened the **** should slide right off.

On second thought, the little hole might be on the back. But nevertheless, its somewhere near the bottom.

You can always take a hacksaw to it if all else fails.

Thats pretty nice, I was actually looking at buying that one from mustangtunning.com I think. The tbid shifter didn;t end up fitting, the bar of the mustang shifter was wider than the tbird one.

I have been loking for one like this:

but I havn't been able to find it anywhere[&o]
