I'm getting more and more worried about my engine shudder problem. What is happening is that about 15 seconds after start (1999 V6, 87k miles, AT) and while still in park, I get a shudder from the engine. The RPMs fluctuate down 200 RPMs from normal (which i think is 1k? so it dips to 800). When shifting to drive, the RPMs go down to around 750. When stopped in drive however, the engine shudders again down to around 650 RPM. I have also noticed that this usually goes away after driving for about 15 minutes. Is this something I ought to get looked at or is it no big deal?

 

Mine does most of the stuff you just mentioned.

 

Lazer...Just cause yours does what he is discribing doesn't mean that it is something he shouldn't have looked at maybe you should have yours looked at too!
