Default Refcounter

The refcouter of our 1985 LX Convertible 3.8 V6 isn't working, does anybody knows what to do to make it work? Is it a broken cable or something? And if it is the cable where can I find the cable in the car?

revcounter? as in tachometer? If that's what you're talking about could be a bad or disconnected cable.

With refcouter I ment the meter ho shows the rpm per minute. Where can I find the disconnected or broken cable? Where in the dashboard and were on the other site (gearbox??, and were on the gearbox??), and is it a nasty job to replace the cable?

It's called a Tachometer, not a Refcounter.

the wire from your tach goes to the ignition coil i believe, negative side. well if u gotta take the dash out then ya its gonna probably be nasty job unless u know what your doing. and as for where in the dash board the wire is, my guess would be right behind your tach. maybe just take it to a shop and get it down.

Well first it's a tach not a refcounter, second it is a wire not a cable, third it doesn't connect to your gear box but to your ignition.

I would recommand getting a Haynes manual for your car that should help you out. It could be broken anywhere, but chances being it is either at the TACH itself or in the engine compartment.

Oh it doesn't count your rpm it tells you.
