Default Headers and H-Pipe

Hey, I have a 2001 3.8 V6, and I was going to buy a H-Pipe and some shorty headers.
I alreday have a Flowmaster dual exhaust system, and I was wondering if this setup will work and what kind of work will be involved.
Thanks.

If you have just a V6 flowmaster y pipe adapter system, then you'll need a set of GT cat backs. I say get the x pipe, don't listen to the people that will tell you it's raspy, trust me, it's not, now h pipes on the other hand, they do tend to have a raspy problem because my GT suffers from it at certain rpms when in neutral. Also, unless there's something wrong with your stock headers, there's really no need to replace then as the hp increase will be 1-2 hp at best with them.

no real use in getting shorty headers unless you have more power...you will spend like $300 for 1-2 hp

Never said to get the headers, but ab is right, they won't do jack for you if you're runing an n/a engine, unless there's something wrong with the stock headers, they'll work jsut fine.
