Default A/c?

So my a/c worked great(cold as ****) Go to get in the other day and the a/c doesnt seem to work! Kinda didnt pay much attention due to the fact I was on my way to work and not thinking much about the car. Well Its been a week or so and the heat is killing me. I popped the hood to see if my bass rattled anything loose.(already took out the rear view mirror) All plugs seem tight!
Anyone got any ideas?

Could be one of a few things because I just went though the same damn thing.
1.) It could be a vacume leak (loose a/c line). If one of those pop off or comes loose, your a/c deffinitly won't work right
2.) Low freon. If you run low or out of freon, goodby cold air
3.) Leak in freon line, you'll see green around the leak. Same thing and this will cost around $500 to get fixed.
4.) Dead air compressor, if it dies, good by air all together.
5.) You'r A/C switch is on cold right?

Yea that info would narrow down the search. Also, blows on defrost vents only, air vents only, what?

Well it blows out of the vents, I can change it to blow out of any of the options. The air coming out is like its on vents, IF its hot out its hot air, cold then cold air. Just never a/c air

I dont think its a leak, unless it happen over night in the driveway.
Vacumme maybe? I guess off to the shop it goes!

Ok so here what I did

Low freon sounded like the best deal to start with. Went down and got one of those r134a(whatever it is) kits to refill the a/c. I got the refill that has the gauge. This will tell me if its full or not. green is low blue is good, yellow a little too full, red bad. So the car is at high blue, low yellow. So it gets down to high green (not sure how) So I fill it back up to the top of blue with this super cold air can. spent the money, might as well use the can. wow, nothing better.
It seem as if the a/c pump relay is not kicking in. Looked for a fuse, doesnt seem to have any popped. Does anyone know where this relay is so I can test it?

Please help, its 105 today and only going to get hotter!

Thank u
dannie

Is your air actually blowing out the vents or what. It could still be a vacume leak. Also, pop your hood, the A/C compressor is at the top left, is that little triangular thing at the front of the compressor spinning after the engine runs for a while, if not, then it's the compressor, also, if the compressor is dead, then you shouldn't have any air blowing at all, but yet again, it could be a vacume leak. I say just bring the car into a shop tomorrow morning and get it inspected and fixed, you'll save yourself both money and time fixing the problem.
