Default Even Firing?

I was reading in the "how-to" section about exhaust set ups. Someone said that it's pointless to get duals on a v6 because two cylinders fire at the same time. I'm kinda confused by this. I'm trying to teach myself cars, I don't want to be a poser. How will duals on a v6 effect power, MPG, and sound? Is it worth it to get duals on a v6?
At the moment I've just put on a flow 40 and liked the sound. Thanx for all your help guys, it's awesome to see people that want to help keep the true american muscle car living on. I'm 20 and I hope I learn from you all and pass it down.

Yes, it IS worth it to get duals on a V6. The added sound, power, and fuel mileage. The power and fuel mileage aren't increased that much, but the sound improvement is great.

What that how to should have said, you don't need a cross-over pipe with the 3.8. Duals will increase milage, sound and power. But they also give your car a better throttle response.
V8's need a cross-over to even the back pressure between the 2 banks. Wheras, the 3.8's don't suffer from that problem. IMO, an x-pipe will make the exhaust note sound better.

yah. you don't need an H or X on a v6. people get that just to change the sound. much like GT owners get an X or H based on what sound they want. although, the X actually adds more power than the H on a GT, but the H adds more torque, so it all balances out.
